Gentlemen of the ...

Ok, I’m not a writer, but I felt quite compelled to share something with all three Paperlab Blog readers. Speaking of which, many thanks go out to Chris, Nate and I for reading this fine digital travesty.

Anyways, let’s get down to business.

Recently I saw a Bum Chilling outside a Library (which is quite fine). After all, I feel everyone is entitled to want an education, or at least to be close to one. The kicker really came from what the Bum in question was doing, and what he was doing it with. Fortunately this does not involve any bodily fluids or women/men running away screaming and bleeding. What I witnessed, was at its core a bit more diabolical that any of that.

THE BUM WAS ON HIS LAPTOP surfing the internet, I presume with the library Wi Fi. Of course, like any normal person the first thing I wondered was if he had Windows 7 running on his machine. Either way he was pretty relaxed lounging on the concrete floor in the 50 degree weather doing God knows what. That does raise a question though… what the hell could a Bum be doing on a computer, checking his stock trades maybe?

By the way is ok to call them Bums now, or is that not the PC thing to do, maybe Shelterly Challenged or Hobo would be more sensitive on my part. Actually I always felt that ‘Hobo’ had a nice ring to it, and is my first choice of nomenclature (second is ‘Gentleman of the Rails’).

Anyways, to you Mr. Hobo, I’m know you’re reading this (on your laptop), and I thank you for inspiring me to actually contribute something to this damn blog and increasing our readership to 4.
